Overview

Logging into VirgoCX is the first step to trading, managing deposits, and checking your portfolio. This guide covers the typical login flow for web and mobile, how to set up and recover 2-factor authentication (2FA), common issues and fixes, plus best practices to protect your account.

Standard VirgoCX Login (Web)

  1. Open your browser and go to the VirgoCX website (bookmark the correct URL to avoid phishing).
  2. Click Login or Sign in at the top-right corner of the homepage.
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account and your password.
  4. If prompted, complete the CAPTCHA and click Continue.
  5. If you have 2FA enabled, open your authenticator app and enter the time-based code.

Tip: Use a hardware or authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy) for 2FA instead of SMS where possible — it's more secure.

Mobile App Login

Open the VirgoCX mobile app, tap Sign In, provide your credentials, and complete 2FA if required. If you use biometric unlock (fingerprint/FaceID) you can enable it under Settings after the first successful login.

Enabling and Resetting 2FA

Troubleshooting Common Login Problems

  1. Wrong password: Use the Forgot password link to request a reset email. Check spam/junk folders.
  2. No 2FA code: Ensure your authenticator app time sync is correct; reinstalling the app may require recovery codes.
  3. Locked account: After multiple failed attempts your account may be locked temporarily — follow the on-screen instructions or contact support.
  4. Can't receive email: Confirm your email provider is online and that filters or forwarding rules are not blocking messages from the exchange.

Account Recovery Steps

If you cannot access your account:

  1. Use the Forgot password option to reset credentials via your registered email.
  2. If 2FA is lost and you do not have backup codes, locate the Reset 2FA or Account Recovery link and follow the identity verification steps (government ID, selfie, transaction history may be requested).
  3. Keep a record of recovery ticket numbers and reply promptly to support requests to speed up resolution.
